Speech and Language needs are becoming a real barrier to success in school.  An HLTA will be working on individual programmes allocated to children from the Speech and Language therapy service.

TAs in classes support children using Speechlink and Languagelink programmes, where these assessments indicate a need.

In Reception, WellComm is used for children identified with a communication need and this is delivered by an HLTA.

Learning Village is an online intervention designed for use by learners with EAL, but is also used effectively in school with other learners to support the development of vocabulary, phonics and reading.
