Reading Stars 

At Griffin Park School we promote a love of reading.  We wish to encourage all children to read their home reading books, choose books to read for pleasure and show an enthusiasm in class when reading across different lessons!

This is why we have introduced a bi-weekly Reading Superstar! 

Every second week, a child from each class will be selected as the Reading Superstar and will get a certificate in assembly acknowledging this. This may be for

• Reading at home
• Showing great enthusiasm in class
• Making progress in Guided Reading
• Showing great comprehension skills
• Using fabulous expression when reading out loud

• Reading for pleasure policy
