Design Technology

Our Design Technology curriculum is designed to develop creativity, analysis and evaluation through critical thinking and teach children a range of practical skills with a variety of tools to create end products that they can be really proud of. Our curriculum allows children of all abilities to utilise a range of ideas, skills, equipment and materials to design and implement solutions to real-life problems. At each step along the design process, children are encouraged to evaluate their designs, modifying them where necessary as well as the materials to best manufacture their products and finishes to make them more cosmetically appealing.

It is our goal that children at Griffin Park develop a real love of design and an understanding of how technology has affected their own lives and its place in the wider world.
