Reading Stars
At Griffin Park School we promote a love of reading. We encourage children to read for pleasure.
Our new Reading Stars reward system will encourage children to read more and to show off their love of reading by wearing badges on their uniforms.
This will not be reading their school reading books, but books from home, the library, or books chosen from the classroom.
In KS1 parents will have to complete a form for each book they read. You are allowed up to 2 a week.
When you have read 10 books you will get a GREEN star badge.
When you have read 15 books you will get a RED star badge.
When you have read 20 books you will get a BLUE star badge.
When you have read 30 books you will get a GOLD star badge.
In KS2 you must write a review for it and you can only count ONE book a week.
When you have read 5 books you will get a GREEN star badge.
When you have read 10 books you will get a RED star badge.
When you have read 15 books you will get a BLUE star badge.
When you have read 20 books you will get a GOLD star badge.
